"I
have known Aura Rose since the Interior Health Authority (IH) was formed in
2001. In the early days of IH, Aura made it easy for me to come to a wide
variety of events and communicate with both staff and the general public.
Her highly service minded, professional approach to her work shines through
in many ways and her ability to gain clear information from a diverse range
of stakeholders is very valuable. The regular briefings she wrote for the IH
Executive, Board and political representatives were always exemplary.
Aura has also been an asset to IH in times of high pressure. During the
forest fires in B.C. in 2003 she took on a central role in (preparing)
communications for and with all stakeholders both in the Kamloops and
Kelowna areas.
I
know that when Aura is writing documents, organizing publicity events or
preparing other means of communication, I can always count on the high
quality of work we have come to expect from her. I know Aura as a dedicated
and passionate communications professional who is truly focused on helping
us connect better within and outside our organization, with clients, the
general public, staff and the broad range of stakeholders we work with on a
daily basis."
- Alan Dolman,
Chairman of the Board, Interior Health
"It has been a delight to
work with you. Your truly client focused approach, openness and ability to
quickly adapt to what we needed, helped move the project forward with ease.
We are very pleased with the outcome - both the quality of the resulting
information for our clients and the timeliness in which it was created."
- Jennifer Waddell,
Senior Director of Clinical Solutions, Novation
"Aura, thank you
for the great work you did on A Seat at the Table: Resource Guide for
Local Government to Promote Food Secure Communities. You were able to
quickly pick up this project and under great time pressure - transform a
complex research document into an engaging, action orientated and easily
accessible guide that effectively conveys the message to our target
audience. Your flexibility, willingness to gather additional information and
strong professionalism were all appreciated and certainly added to the
quality of the end product."
- Deepthi
Jayatilaka, Provincial Manager Food Security, Provincial Health Services
Authority
"I have worked with Aura
since the inception of Interior Health in 2001. She is an experienced,
dedicated communications professional and offers high quality service in all
aspects of what she does.
Aura provides an objective
perspective and relevant, precise information to myself and other leaders
within the organization. She is comfortable working with a wide
variety of stakeholders both internally and externally, including members of
our Senior Executive Team, politicians, government officials, physicians and
support personnel. Her style ensures people feel at ease when working
with her and allows her to effectively gather the information she needs for
her work.
What I appreciate most about
Aura is her flexibility, her commitment and her ability to draw out the
required information while ensuring others feel heard and appreciated."
- Alison Paine, Director
of Communications, Interior Health
"The
way you revamped our 2008 Environmental Excellence Awards promotion and
helped us by developing and facilitating the awards communication process
was excellent. Your many suggestions and hands-on assistance with media
promotion, your connections with the award winners and help in helping them
spread the word and your assistance at the awards presentation were all very
valuable and appreciated.
Your
work
on reorganizing the Operations content from the Hospitals for a Healthy
Environment website to the Practice Greenhealth website was wonderful. You
weeded out old and incorrect information and flagged the issues we had to
solve with the site set up and presentation. You were able to gather
information from across the old site, reorganize it as requested and rework
it using language and a visual appeal that is now attractive, accessible and
of interest to a wide audience. Thanks so much."
- Julie Taylor,
Manager Web and Member Communications, Practice Greenhealth
"A clear thinker, a
prolific writer and an excellent problem solver, Aura is a highly
quality-minded professional whom I would recommend to any of my clients."
- Jan Enns, Jan

presentation. It is a great resource and you are an engaging
presenter."
- Ruth Abramson,

"Aura's ability to listen
to many voices at one time and pull out the 'key points' never ceases to
amaze me. Her objectiveness always adds value to our work!"
- Lee VanMeter, Project Leader,

In regards to
a report about enhancing communications with physicians which included
surveying 1,150 physicians in the health region as well as interviewing over
25 individuals:
"I found the information in it
to be very prudent and the recommendations you provided were exactly what we
are looking for."
- Clay Barber, Director
Medical Administration, Interior Health
In regards to
a 6-page monthly staff newsletter written for 18,000 staff in a B.C. health
region and used as an information piece for both the Ministry of Health and
the general public:
"The newsletters Aura has
written for us are excellent. Good tone and very informative.
The one she wrote shortly after the massive forest fires in our health
region I consider a collector's item for when staff retire."
- Chris Mazurkewich, Chief
Operating Officer - Strategic and Corporate Services, Interior Health
"Aura acted as the
Communications Representative for the Interior Health Green Committee for
over 3 years. Aura was an integral part of our committee, bringing
ideas and personal dedication to green issues to her work. She is
bright, insightful and hard working and helped the committee recognize the
importance of considering all sides when communicating about green health
care."
- Mike McRitchie, Past Chair of
