Stakeholders include the media, health authorities, grant recipients,
provincial government representatives and various non-profit

Health Care Without Harm
Managed the external
communications and messaging for the CleanMed 2008 conference in
Pittsburgh. Involved North American media, trade magazines and
other organizations. |

Healthcare Supply Chain Network
Created and implementing
(ongoing) an e-based communications strategy for HSCN to improve
communication with and between members. Includes a quarterly
e-newsletter and monthly e-blasts as well as a redesign of the website. |

Interior Health Authority
Consulted to
several departments including Human Resources, Communications, Medical
Administration, Mental Health, Public Health, Planning and
Improvement, Environmental Services. Samples include:

Human Resources:
Communication Lead (ongoing) for a project to revamp the entire
scheduling process, including changes to union certifications.

Write the Health
Services Guide, a public document detailing all the services
provided by Interior Health; produced annually.

Project with Mental
Health and Addictions to raise public awareness on various
issues. Included a complete redesign of the Mental Health and
Addictions portion of the Interior Health website.

Communications:
Written several award applications including one that won Interior
Health a "2007 Hospitals for a Healthy Environment Champions for
Change Award", and another that won the "HEABC Golden Apple Award
(2007)".

Environmental Services:
Created and implemented an energy awareness campaign, including a
traveling informational display. Provided presentations at 16
facilities.

Undertook a Communications
Audit - including templates and recommendations - for Planning and
Improvement.

Researched and wrote the
Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Prevention Plan for Public Health.
Included interviewing 54 stakeholders.

Medical Administration:
Interviewed over 20 individuals and surveyed 1,115 physicians for a
report with recommendations on how to improve Physician
Communications.

Oversaw the creation of a
perinatal inventory, which involved contact with over 200 community
organizations.

Park Place Seniors Living
Managed the communication
around the ground-breaking for a new facility, including coordination
of the media, the Minister of Health (BC), the Interior Health
Authority and other stakeholders. |

Practice Greenhealth
(Previously Hospitals for a Healthy Environment)

Developed and facilitated
the awards communication process for the 2008 Environmental
Excellence Awards. Rewrote the entire awards promotional
package, coordinated all media promotion and assisted with awards
presentation at CleanMed.

Restructured and rewrote
the entire Operations section of the Hospitals for a Healthy
Environment website for the new Practice Greenhealth website.

In conjunction with Jan Enns
Communications, wrote "A Seat at the Table", a resource guide for
local governments to promote food secure communities.

SeaBreeze Energy
Conducted a "community
audit" on the possibility of establishing a community based
cooperative for a BC wind farm. Included a report with
recommendations.
